Das Atelier von Mona und Lisa da Vinci.

Art at the THG

In many cases, it is men who create art. And often they depict women like the famous Mona Lisa.
Here at the Thor-Heyerdahl-Gymnasium, there are two colleagues teaching art.

Enthusiasm for art and the joy of artistic creation are at the forefront of our art lessons, as we represent it here at the Thor-Heyerdahl-Gymnasium.
You go on a journey of discovery with various artists, learn new, even adventurous techniques and try them out, develop new ways for your own artistic expression. For this purpose, the art colleagues impart a broad spectrum of expression possibilities, promote and train practice-oriented skills and skills.
Since 2014, two new art spaces with excellent media facilities and a collection of material that has grown over the decades have been available to pupils for this action-oriented classroom. This also includes large printing presses and clay kilns.
Pupils are seated at flexible individual tables, and can be reacted to the needs and conditions of the design process at any time. With its exterior doors, the rooms are so conveniently located that the schoolyard and the green surroundings can be easily integrated.
As a rule, art education is given in almost all grades up to the school leaving examinations. Some examples of student work can be found in our gallery.
